Tajinaste meets an increasingly rare need in Gran Canaria: new single-storey homes with their own plots and outdoor space, close to everyday services.
The project is located in the mid-altitude area of Valsequillo, in peaceful surroundings with mountains and walking trails. These single-storey homes have private plots and spacious gardens, with adaptations to the initial design possible.
The remaining options in the first phase are being marketed, and the second phase is already open.

All homes have a private garden, and the layouts are designed to connect indoor and outdoor spaces directly.
Large glazed openings connect the living and dining room to the garden; depending on the configuration, the main bedroom may also have direct access. The daytime area combines living room, dining room and kitchen in an open space, separate from bedrooms and bathrooms. All rooms face outdoors.
Everyday services are within a radius of about two kilometres: schools, supermarkets, a pharmacy, cafés, parks, shops and municipal services. Part of Valsequillo belongs to the Canary Islands network of protected natural areas.
The homes are designed with solutions aimed at comfort and energy efficiency, compared with existing properties that often require renovation and further investment.
Certain systems and equipment, such as solar installations, can be assessed as upgrades during the customisation process.
Minimalist design with white façades, wood accents and a selection of premium brands. This is an indicative summary; the full specifications are available below.
Kitchen furniture is not included, although all relevant electrical fittings are provided. Specifications are indicative and non-contractual: the project’s technical management reserves the right to replace materials with others of equivalent or higher quality.
Indicative contribution schedule. Payments made are deducted from the price of the home and do not bear interest.
Construction is planned to start in the first quarter of 2027, with estimated completion in the first half of 2029, subject to obtaining the administrative approvals.
The project operates as a housing cooperative: future owners join the developing entity as members rather than buying a completed home from a developer. This regulated model allows homes to be developed at development cost.
Before the developer loan is formalised, contributions remain in a restricted notarial account. Once the permit is granted and the loan formalised, they are protected by a guarantee insurance policy under the applicable regulations.
Not yet, as the homes have not been built. Construction is planned to start in the first quarter of 2027, with estimated completion in the first half of 2029.
Yes. Starting from the architectural team’s design, extensions, layout changes and additional bedrooms or bathrooms can be assessed where the plot and regulations allow. These are priced individually, and we indicate which plots are suitable based on permitted buildability.
Because this model removes the property developer’s role: the cooperative is a non-profit entity and future owners take on that role as co-developers.
Cooperatives are governed by Spanish Law 27/1999 on Cooperatives and, in the Canary Islands, Law 4/2022 on Canary Islands Cooperative Societies. The development must be run by a management company responsible for legal compliance, permits, guarantees and surety insurance.
No. Membership is as a natural person. Public bodies or non-profit associations that need housing for people in their care may also join.
The legislation and statutes provide for repayment of deposited amounts in certain circumstances, such as failure to obtain permits or justified grounds on the member’s part.
We review layouts, available plots, extension options and the payment plan with you, and send you the brochure and specification document.
